The Franklin County Visitors Bureau continues its dedication to exploring Franklin County PA, and has created a map of PokeStops in Waynesboro for the popular PokemonGo app.
Following the success of its exclusive map in Chambersburg, visitors can now explore the Waynesboro area using the PokeMap to find PokeStops, gather PokeBalls, attract Pokemon, and encounter other Pokemon enthusiasts.
The map, available online here and at the Franklin County Visitors Bureau’s office, identifies more than 12 stops in Waynesboro, including downtown locations, historical markers, museums, local churches, a library and more. It also leads visitors to explore more PokeStops not listed on the map and the surrounding area. Through a partnership with the Greater Area Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce, the PokeMap features local business members, including eateries, family-owned shops and more that PokemonGo players can stop in to relax and recharge before exploring and finding new Pokemon.
Trainers are welcome to come to the Visitors Bureau office at 37 South Main Street, Suite 100, to get a copy of the map during office hours 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Or, download the map online at https://issuu.com/fcvb/docs/waynesboro_map.
The Franklin County Visitors Bureau is also working on additional PokeMaps, focusing on the downtowns of Greencastle and Mercersburg plus area parks and recreation sites. Check ExploreFranklinCountyPA.com and Facebook.com/FCVBen for these new maps throughout August and September.
