Habitat For Humanity and St John’s United Church of Christ have partnered together again to host a used book sale to benefit Habitat’s housing ministry. Over 25,000 books, puzzles, games, music, and more were donated by the community. Donations for the sale are now closed. The sale will take place over three days on Oct 27 (Fri) from 4-9pm, Oct 28 (Sat) from 9am-6pm and Oct 29 (Sun) from 12-4pm.
Sunday is “Bag Day” where books will be sold for $5 per bag. St. John’s UCC is located at 1811 Lincoln Way East, in Chambersburg and parking Lot B is the main entrance for the sale. This is a volunteer-led initiative and all proceeds will be used to help build the next Habitat house in Franklin County. Mark Story, Habitat Community Engagement Director says, “Following the success of our sale in 2022 we are pleased to provide this opportunity to the community again. We especially thank the leadership at St. John’s Church for the sale space, Patriot Federal Credit Union for their generous sponsorship, and The Butcher Shoppe for donating sale bags.”
