The Institute is offering a new series of five outdoor nature programs for preschoolers in April and May. Designed for children ages 2.5 to 5, the Wee Wonder programs will run on Thursdays, April 18 & 25, and May 2, 9 & 16 from 9:30–11 a.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa. Registration for the full series is required. Taught by Institute educators, age-appropriate program activities include exploring the outdoors, hikes, theme-related story books, rhymes, finger plays, nature games, crafts, songs, and puppets.
“Geared for our youngest budding naturalists, these programs are designed to inspire outdoor wonder as we welcome the coming of spring,” said Kettie Leighty, Institute instructor.
Pre-registration for the full series and payment in advance are required by April 16. The fee for all five programs is $40 for members of The Institute and $50 for the general public, per child. Limited to 15 children. Register online at www.NatureAndCultureInstitute.org.
