Stop Transource Franklin Co is holding a public meeting public on Monday, February 26th at 6:00 PM at the New Franklin Ruritan Community Center, 2500 New Franklin Road in Chambersburg. ALL directly affected property owners, land owners, rate payers, and concerned citizens of Franklin County are requested to attend.
Stop Transource Franklin County engaged legal counsel and is prepared, with the help of the community, to fight the Transource filing. The February 26 meeting topics will include discussion of legal representation, fundraising efforts, and updates on the status of the project.
“Stop Transource Franklin Co is very grateful to the hundreds of people that participated in the letter-writing campaign and the thousands of residents that signed petitions, opposing the project. The February 26 meeting will identify next steps as we move toward the PUC (Public Utility Commission) pre-hearing conference on March 13 in Harrisburg,” said Stop Transource Franklin Co representative Lori Rice.
Stop Transource Franklin Co is a group of landowners, concerned citizens, businesses and organizations that oppose Transource’s proposal to build 29 miles of high-voltage power lines through Franklin County and are dedicated to stopping the project from happening anywhere in Franklin County.
