Dykeman Pond
Visit Dykeman Pond. You may encounter the ghost of Mary Dykeman still lingering after her baby drowned in the pond in the 1800s. Search for Mary along the surrounding trails of Dykeman Park. Shh…stop and listen!
Sasquatch In Caledonia
What was that furry figure…Sasquatch…Big Foot? For decades, spotting’s of Sasquatch in Caledonia have been reported. Was that the whispering of the pines or is Big Foot watching?
Mont Alto State Park
Spirits of the past linger in and around the park. Sarah Hurley Matheny, killed nearby, is just one. Colonel George Wiestling, former owner of the land, is another. Maybe you will make a new friend…
Monterey Pass
Did you see the Civil War soldiers? There along the stone outcrop? But, how is that possible? The Battle of Monterey was July 4, 1863.
Renfrew and The Two Sisters
Is it truth or just a factless tale? Sarah and Jane Renfrew lost their lives at the hands of an Indian raiding party. After the sisters were buried, some say they’ve seen Sarah and Jane’s ghostly figures along the banks of the Antietam!
Allison Antrim Museum
The house dates back to the 1860s. Window blinds roll up and roll down. Children giggle. Door latches open. Oooh, a little chill…is there a window open or is that something else?
Ebbert Springs
Is that mist hanging over the water, or possibly a spirit of the past, lingering as it roams the land around Ebbert Springs?
Conococheague Institute
By day, Conococheague brings chances to explore history, hiking, and birding. But as darkness approaches, it is a little eerie to walk by the old cemetery and listen to the sounds of an ending day. What creatures dwell in the mire and muck? Who lingers near the old cemetery? Is someone watching you from the Davis-Chambers House?
Pond Bank and The White Lady
The legend says that the White Lady and her child lost their lives in one of the ponds around the village of Pond Bank along route 997. As to how and why is unclear…but, could you find out more?
Old Jail
The dungeons in the basement, gallows in the courtyard, fingernail scratched doors of cells and inscriptions of jail life left by former inmates are proof of the reality of the difficult life of a prison inmate. Some visitors have claimed to hear thumps, moans and noises while others have felt their body being touched.
