f you have a watercolor palette you enjoy using, feel free to bring it!
Part of our ongoing series of Play-Like-An-Artist classes, this beginner-level watercolor class will have you exploring new materials to expand your watercolor repertoire.
One of the most common “problems” students express frustration with when working with watercolor is how to maintain bright whites when working with such a fluid medium.
In this class we’ll explore options on both maintaining the pure whites of the paper using resist techniques, watercolor frisket and also ways to “lift” the paint to lighten and get those pristine whites back.
You’ll also learn how to soften edges for a more natural feel when working with landscapes or anything that needs a little depth/blurriness.
Before long you’ll be realizing that what you once thought was a problem was really an opportunity to create something magical.
You will learn basic art theories peppered into our Play Like an Artist classes, but the focus is on having fun!
Leave the stuffiness at the door and come explore with Deb!
