Look to the Sky: Migrating Birds Lunch & Learn | Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Bureau, Chambersburg
Thursday September 12th, 2024 * 11:30 AM
Join the Franklin County Visitors Bureau for FREE Look to the Sky Lunch & Learn: Discovering Fall’s Migrating Birds.
It seems sudden.
The heat and humidity of long summer days are replaced by cool, shorter evenings.
The sky is so blue at this time of year, and the honking of flying geese repeats evening after evening.
The birds know…fall is in the air, and the fall migration is underway.
Special guest is Terri Kochert of Conococheague Audubon, a chapter of the National Audubon Society will share what birds are migrating, where to spot them as well as tips and tools for birders.
Plus, time is set aside for questions and answers and sharing about birding and birds.
Lunch will be soup, sandwich or wrap, and cookie with a variety of beverages.
In addition to learning about fall migration, attendees will have a chance to make an easy fall feeder with protein-packed food for migrating birds.
This event is appropriate for a variety of age-levels and experience-levels in birding.
Franklin County Visitors Bureau Lunch & Learn events are free and open to the public.
Seating is limited.
Please register only if you plan to attend.
