The Shippensburg Festival Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Lawrence Loh, presents an evening of symphonic works from Academy-award winning films from beloved classics to modern epics, including Ben Hur, Gone with the Wind, West Side Story, Out of Africa, Star Wars, Interstellar, Lord of the Rings, and many more.

About the Shippensburg Festival Symphony:  For over 50 years (with a brief hiatus due to Covid) professional musicians from orchestras in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia have gathered to form the Shippensburg Festival Orchestra under the baton of renowned guest conductors.

This year Lawrence Loh, former conductor with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Dallas Symphony and Colorado Symphony, and current music director of the Syracuse Symphony and Waco Symphony, leads the orchestra in a film concert series, A Night at the Oscars on July 18th and E.T. The Extra Terrestrial In Concert on July 20th.
