Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Bureau is pairing up with Benchfield Farms to bring downtown horse and wagon rides to Chambersburg on Saturday, June 24. Rides begin at 8:30 AM and load in front of F&M Trust, 20 South Main Street. The last ride boards at 11:30 AM. Rides are 30 minutes, guided, and highlight some local points of interest as well as some interesting local lore. Each participant receives a set of postcards to remember the tour, which includes:
- Founding of Chambersburg
- Memorial Fountain & Square
- Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center
- Burning of Chambersburg
- John Brown in Chambersburg
- Life in Cumberland Valley
Pair up a morning wagon ride with a trip to the North Square Farmers Market, held from 8 AM to Noon in Founding Family Park.
Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Babies and children up to and including age four ride free with an accompanying adult.
