The Franklin County Art Alliance announces winners of 52nd Annual Exhibition. Best of Show was awarded to Cindy Roberts Downs of Clear Spring, MD, and over $2500 worth of other awards were distributed to artists from throughout Franklin and Fulton Counties and Washington County, MD. The show featured 270 works by 79 area artists and will remain on view through Thursday June 13, from 2-7pm at Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Drive in Fayetteville. A wide variety of paintings, photographs, prints and sculptures by area artists were judged by Steven Pearson, Chair of Creative Expression and the Arts and Professor of Studio Art at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD, and Susan Benigni-Landis, artist and educator from Lewisberry, PA. Door prizes will be awarded each day throughout the show: original works of art by Alliance members, including last year’s Best of Show winner Kent Roberts of Shippensburg, PA.
